Harris College Students Shine at Annual Research Conference
Harris College students showcased their research excellence at the annual Student Research Conference, celebrating innovation and academic achievement across the health sciences. The event featured a number of student presentations, from the impact of recess to the impact of COVID-19 on mental health. Each project reflected deep dedication, rigorous research and unique perspectives on today’s pressing health challenges.

TCU Presents Winner of the DAISY in Training Award(TM)
TCU Nursing senior Geo Martinez was nominated by Abell-Hanger Professor of Gerontological Nursing Dennis Cheek, Ph.D., for his action in helping another TCU student with a hypoglycemic episode, and adjunct professor Haley Trainer, MSN, RN, nominated him for his work in the labor and delivery (L&D) clinical rotation at Texas Health Resources in Fort Worth.
